Certificate and Toolbox Distribution ceremony-2025 to 8th Batch students of DESI project

On 15th February 2025 DESI project of DIPSHIKHA organized “Certificate and Toolbox distribution ceremony-2025’’ for its 8th batch students. All the students of this batch were invited, but due to their job engagement, only 5 students attended and received their certificates and toolbox. All the students of 9th batch were also present in the ceremony. The ceremony was chaired by our honorable Executive Director Mr. Jagadish Chandra Roy. There were some special guests from Germany who ornamented the program. The ex-students shared their recent job engagement and facilities which were highly encouraging the current students.

Staff training on Safe Birth-related issues
A two-day long staff training on Safe Birth-related issues was taken place at Rudrapur, Dinajpur on 12-13 February, 2025. The field supervisors of Health and Women Development from all project area, i.e. Pirganj, Ranisangkail, Tanore, Godagari, Nimgachhi, Birol (Rudrapur) participated as the trainees of this training. The trainer was Ms. Maria Christina Gruber Seydel from Germany. She is a professional Nurse who worked in Germany including Sri Lanka, Brazil. She provided a hands-on training on some health-related issues like:
* Health check-up of pregnant women and emergency response if needed
* Emergency response during delivery
* Emergency response for a newborn baby
* First aid support to mother and child
* Some issues on women’s health, family planning, nutrition for awareness
* First aid support on snake bite and physical injury
A doctor named Dr. Elisabeth Sickinger from Germany also provided a hands-on training on some issues:
• Blood pressure check-up using a stethoscope
• Process of CPR
From this training, the trainee supervisors learned all the above knowledge and techniques both literally and practically. Now they can take care of the family members’ general health problems. They can monitor the health status of the mother and child, and provide some emergency response to them. The trainees were very curious and asked many questions about the issues they faced when they were working in field. Ms. Christina answered all the questions. They enjoyed the training very much. This training will help the facilitators doing their job properly.
