COVID-19 Pandemic Response

Dipshikha has taken initiatives to provide emergency food and protective materials support among the vulnerable families at the time of pandemic COVID-19 and also taken initiative different activities to aware the people about prevention of COVID-19. Dipshikha provided food package support among the selected needy families, special food and medicine among of the pregnant mothers, children food, protective materials among the families so that they become able to overcome the covid-19 crises. The intervention started on 16th May 2020 and up to October’2020 total 8,743 families received emergency relief materials from Dipshikha. Total allocated fund in this regard is approx. BDT.1,02,49,432/-

The main Objectives of the intervention are:

1. Provide emergency food support so that the vulnerable families able to overcome food crisis due corona situation.
2. Ensure available protective materials (soap, mask and sanitizer) and proper use of them to protect Corona infection for the targeted families.
3. Awareness raising among the beneficiary families of GOTI and also community people of project area on Covid-19 prevention and protection.
4. Mitigation of nutritional and food requirement by providing special food for pregnant mothers and children under GOTI project.

Special food and medicine support for pregnant mothers:

Due to corona situation it observed that many families fallen into vulnerable situation due to lose their job. So, they were facing economic crisis and were in want of food at this situation. For the pregnant mothers of these families were more vulnerable situation because it was very difficult for the vulnerable families to provide necessary food and nutrient for pregnant mother these families. So, considering this critical situation special food and medicine support provided for pregnant mothers among the families under GOTI project of different areas.

Special Food support for the children:

For the corona crisis children are the another vulnerable group in the family. For deficit of necessary nutrient directly hamper the growth of children which will be effect for the future. But for the poor family it is also very difficult to provide necessary food for their children. So, considering this special children food provided among the children of poor families under GOTI project of different areas.
