Objectives:
- To promote meaningful participation and inclusion for Children and Youths with Disabilities / affected by Leprosy in all sphere of development.
- To showcase Children and Youths with disabilities / affected by Leprosy lead entrepreneurship.
- To enhance empowerment for the Children and Youths with Disabilities / affected by Leprosy and their families.
An Inclusion Fair was organized on 13 December 2025 in Dipshikha Area Office premises, Rudrapur, Birol Upazila in Dinajpur under MaPInCBR Project. This was a showdown adventure jointly with local government institution and administrations, CBOs, OPDs, NGOs, local inhabitants moreover the children and youths with disabilities and affected by Leprosy and their families. Total 12 stalls decorated by Children and Youths with disabilities / affected by Leprosy and the CBOs and OPDs who strongly engaged with entrepreneurship on featuring mechanical services, online sells, homemade food, embroidery products, recycled cloth bags, and other handicrafts. The total number of 314 including 131 women and 183 men participated in this event.
The event consisted with three parts –
Part-1: Display stalls of entrepreneur children and youth with disabilities and affected by Leprosy.
Part-2: Art competition for the children with disabilities and school children and prize distribution.
Part-3: Open discussion jointly with Local Government and the children and youths with disabilities and affected by Leprosy and their family members.
Part-4: Inclusive cultural program.
Description:
The inauguration ceremony of this fair leaded by Jimran Mohammad Sayek, Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO), Birol. After then he visited the stalls and discussed with the children and youth with disabilities / affected by Leprosy on about their experience and ambitions. In turn of dais presentation that moderated by Himangshu Deb Dutta Roy (Project Coordinator, Dipshikha) and Chaired by Jagadish Chandra Roy (Executive Director, Dipshikha). The Chief of Guest was Jimran Mohammad Sayek, Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO), Birol and the special guests were Upazila Engineer, Upazila Family Planning Officer, Union Chairman, Consultant of JPUF, Member of District Disability Rights and Protection Committee. This discussion started with welcome speech by Dhananjoy Debnath (Area Manager, Dipshikha). In speech of Chief Guest mentioned “Disability is not an inability. Its a alternate ability. A person with disability is an integral part of society and can significantly contribute to national development If such an special need person wants to be a leader – the Government of Bangladesh and many of its wings are always ready to support him/her beside the development organizations over the country. I am so surprised and thanks to Dipshikha to know that supporting such group through multi-dimensional to improve their empowerment and rural development signature.” The closing ceremony speech by the Chaired – Jagadish Chandra Roy (Executive Director of Dipshikha).
