5. Challenges Faced During Construction
During the implementation of the 7 Dochala house construction project, the team encountered several field-level and operational challenges that affected the timeline and workflow. These challenges are detailed below:
- Seasonal Agricultural Activities:
- The construction period coincided with the peak season of rice harvesting and potato cultivation in the area.Many local workers and laborers were engaged in agricultural work, reducing workforce availability for the construction activities. This resulted in occasional delays in daily construction progress and supervision.
- Material Preparation and Quality Assurance:
- The project emphasized the use of high-quality wooden pillars, cement, and rods to ensure the durability and safety of the Dochala houses.Preparation of pillars at Dipshikha premises, including shaping, treatment, and drying, required extra time. Quality checking and adherence to construction standards also added to the overall timeline but were essential for long-term sustainability.

All 7 Dochala houses have been successfully completed and are ready for use.
