On the occasion of International Mother Language Day 2026, METI School observed the day with due respect and solemnity.
The program began with paying deep tribute to the language martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the recognition of the Bangla language on 21 February 1952. Teachers, students, and staff members offered floral tributes in honor of the martyrs and observed the significance of the day with profound respect.
An engaging discussion session was organized where speakers highlighted the historical importance of the Language Movement and the sacrifices made by the martyrs. The discussion emphasized the value of preserving and respecting our mother language and promoting linguistic diversity.
To encourage students’ creativity and awareness, a drawing competition was also arranged. Students enthusiastically participated in the competition, expressing their feelings and understanding of the Language Movement through their artwork.
The entire program was conducted in a respectful and meaningful manner, reflecting the spirit and significance of the day.
